The Durst Organization is looking for Vacation Replacement Cleaners to provide coverage in our Midtown properties from March 1 to November 1, 2026. This position offers the chance for long-term retention based on performance evaluations. Ideal candidates should have prior office cleaning experience, be able to follow directions, and be physically able to handle cleaning duties.
Responsibilities include emptying wastebaskets, dusting furniture and performing heavy physical labor. The position offers a competitive salary of $24.036 per hour, with overtime available under the Local 32BJ Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Vacation Replacement Cleaners will provide vacation coverage in our Midtown properties from approximately March 1 to November 1, 2026. This position has a limited term of five months with the opportunity for long‑term retention based on business needs and performance evaluation.
Salary is $24.036 per hour. Additionally, this position would be eligible for overtime for all hours actually worked, consistent with the Local 32BJ Collective Bargaining Agreement. The overtime rate is $36.054 per hour. Please note that wages are subject to tax withholdings and other applicable deductions.
Includes cleaning all vertical and horizontal surfaces; cleaning microwave and refrigerator, if directed. Thoroughly sweep and damp mop the floor. Empty all waste receptacles and replace with a new clear plastic liner; thoroughly clean all fixtures (toilet bowls, urinal, sinks, partitions, mirrors) with an approved disinfectant; replenish all soap and paper dispensers; and thoroughly wash all floors with an approved disinfectant. Machine scrub floors, rinse, and apply finish. Operate freight elevator, remove all rubbish from designated freight elevator lobbies, and ensure all floors (freight lobbies) are thoroughly swept and mopped. Dispose of all collected rubbish in the proper containers (wet or dry trash). If unsure of items to discard, contact supervisor immediately.
While performing duties of this job, employee required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; crouch; bend; talk; and hear. The employee must lift and move up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
