Job summary

Scenic Stays in Destin, Florida, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to preserve the condition, safety, and functionality of our vacation rental properties. You will perform repairs, troubleshooting, installations, carpentry, plumbing, and general upkeep with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-room maintenance and repairs, diagnose issues, install fixtures, and fix damages.
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety.
• Maintain electrical systems: bulbs, outlets, breakers, and related tasks.
• Assist with HVAC/ventilation, refrigeration, and related systems.
• Maintain heating, plumbing, and related systems for proper function.
• Inspect fire and safety alarms and coordinate repairs.
• Perform general maintenance: locks, windows, drywall, painting, carpentry.
• Maintenance of property cleanliness, landscaping, and waste management.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete projects on time.
