Job summary

Darigold is seeking an experienced Aseptic Vacation Relief Operator to support the Boise plant team. The Relief Operator will substitute for vacancies or aid in training and projects, handling diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Thursday-Saturday and half of Wednesdays, 6:00pm-6:30am. You will work with the UP Department to ensure safe, efficient operation and adherence to GMP standards. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth available.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Ingredient Inventory standards and Lot Tracking.
  • Ability to obtain antibiotic testing certification.
  • Familiarity with CIP operations and their importance.

Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of equipment in the Aseptic Department.
  • Coordinate production plan against daily timeline.
  • Perform quality tests on raw milk per guidelines.
  • Maintain inventory for 24-hour production plan.
  • Keep work area clean and compliant with GMP.
  • Assist maintenance with routine tasks.

Job description

Darigold is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aseptic Vacation Relief Operator to be a part of the Boise plant team. The Relief Operator will serve as critical support and will be assigned duties and tasks to either substitute for a temporary vacancy or provide support for training efforts or projects. As such the Relief Operator will be broadly trained and will be able to capably handle and safely address the diverse tasking and operations of the UP Department. The ideal candidate excels in mastering diverse equipment and managing multiple tasks in a fast paced, rigorous environment.

Schedule: Thursday-Saturday and half of Wednesdays from 6:00pm-6:30am

What You Will Do
  • Safe, efficient operation of all equipment within the Aseptic Department.
  • Professional and effective communications with internal and external process customers
  • Coordination and delivery against the production plan in alignment with the timeline that is sent out daily
  • Inspection and monitoring of the department process ensuring proper operation, coordination, and production; ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Process Standards
  • Maintenance and monitoring of required inventory necessary to facilitate the 24 hour production plan
  • Perform Quality Tests on Raw Milk in accordance with company or regulatory guidelines
  • Ensures the safe, efficient and productive ingredient utilization
  • Monitoring and Maintaining Batch to Production Timeline
  • Organization of the assigned work area and performance of ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with good manufacturing and warehouse practices
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing as assigned relative to the assigned work area - Completion Rate of 95% or better for all assigned MSS and PMS tasking
  • Assisting Maintenance members in routine maintenance and repairs
  • Collection of information, accurately computes weights and measurements, and completes any required production reports accurately; maintaining any necessary paperwork in good order; and records information relative to amounts received a or batched
  • Maintaining efficiency standards set for the operating area; Contribute improvement ideas and initiatives; Work with a Waste Reduction Mentality
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What You Bring
  • Must have understanding of Ingredient Inventory standards and Lot Tracking
  • Must have ability to obtain antibiotic testing certification
  • Must have demonstrable understanding of CIPs operation and operation importance
  • Ability to monitor several concurrent processes simultaneously is critical to success in the position while maintaining consistency and thoroughness; demonstrates agility in adjusting to process flow and change
  • Ability to coordinate plan 24 hours ahead with contingency/variance plan
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 12 hours
  • Ability to frequently climb and work from ladders
  • Must be able to monitor and inspect product and equipment; Must maintain awareness and alertness to ensure expedient response to any anomalies in production
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level and above shoulder height
  • Ability to organize and analyze process problems; ability to make sound decisions based on process understanding
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to read and follow directions
  • Strong Computer experience; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be able to follow directives and SOPs with minimal supervision
