Job summary

Darigold seeks a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join the Boise team. The role focuses on administering quality and food safety policies in collaboration with the QA Manager, overseeing performance, supervision, and development of quality systems and processes.

The position emphasizes laboratory testing, documentation control, HACCP participation, allergen control, and cross‑functional collaboration with plant management and operators to maintain product specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in Dairy or Food Quality Assurance is a plus with preference given to those with a B.S. Degree in Food/Dairy Science/Microbiology or an associated discipline.
• Experience in food plant sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality and food safety testing.
• Maintain documentation and records of quality testing.
• Daily review of Appendix N documentation and reporting.
• Review laboratory quality data to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct daily product evaluations with plant management and operators to ensure quality.
• Track and report key quality measures.
• Assist with environmental swabbing program and COA review.
• Support HACCP and Allergen Control Programs in the plant.
• Assist QA Manager with managing quality programs and other duties as assigned.

Job description

Darigold is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor to be a part of Darigold’s Boise team. The QA Supervisor’s role is to administer corporate policies and procedures as they relate to quality and food safety, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager through performance, supervision, monitoring and development of quality systems and processes.

Schedule: Monday through Wednesday, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM to 12:30 AM on Thursday

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (other Duties As Assigned)

• Able to perform all quality and food safety related testing
• Maintain documentation and records of all quality and food safety related testing.
• Daily review of Appendix N documentation and reporting.
• Daily review of laboratory quality data to ensure products meets specification.
• Conduct daily product evaluations with plant management and operators to ensure consistent quality.
• Daily review of processing and quality data collected by Operators.
• Track, tend and report key quality measures.
• Complete and maintain vitamin fortification program and records.
• Maintain environmental swabbing program, track and report results.
• Maintain and review COA’s from ingredient vendors.
• Ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed as outlined by Darigold’s Corporate Quality Department.
• Participation in the plant HACCP program.
• Maintenance of plant Allergen Control Program.
• Customer complaint investigation and resolution.
• Third party audit review and response. Assist as needed during audits.
• Trouble‑shooting plant quality issues.
• Special projects.
• Plant quality and food safety related training.
• Conduct regular self‑audits of plant
• Assist with regulatory compliance.
• Assists QA Manager with managing quality programs in the plant
• Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate quality systems in a positive and proactive manner.

Education, Experience And Certifications
