Job summary

Darigold, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join the Boise team for a night shift. The role administers corporate quality and food safety policies, mentors staff, and partners with the QA Manager to monitor and improve processes.

Duties include testing, data review, and maintaining compliance across the plant. The ideal candidate will have dairy QA experience, a science degree, strong communication, and leadership abilities to ensure products meet specifications and regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience in Dairy or Food Quality Assurance preferred; BS in Food/Dairy Science/Microbiology or related field.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive quality improvements.
• Proficient documentation, testing, and laboratory procedures as per corporate QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer quality and food safety testing in alignment with corporate policies.
• Supervise QA staff and coordinate with plant management on quality initiatives.
• Maintain documentation, records, and reporting of quality data and testing results.
• Oversee HACCP program, allergen control, and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate customer complaints and support third-party audits.

The QA Supervisor’s role is to administer corporate policies and procedures as they relate to quality and food safety, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager through performance, supervision, monitoring and development of quality systems and processes.

Schedule: Monday through Wednesday, from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM to 12:30 AM on Thursday

Description

Darigold is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Supervisor to be a part of Darigold’s Boise team. The QA Supervisor’s role is to administer corporate policies and procedures as they relate to quality and food safety, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager through performance, supervision, monitoring and development of quality systems and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

• Able to perform all quality and food safety related testing
• Maintain documentation and records of all quality and food safety related testing.
• Daily review of Appendix N documentation and reporting.
• Daily review of laboratory quality data to ensure products meets specification.
• Conduct daily product evaluations with plant management and operators to ensure consistent quality.
• Daily review of processing and quality data collected by Operators.
• Track, tend and report key quality measures.
• Complete and maintain vitamin fortification program and records.
• Maintain environmental swabbing program, track and report results.
• Maintain and review COA’s from ingredient vendors.
• Ensure proper laboratory procedures are followed as outlined by Darigold’s Corporate Quality Department.
• Participation in the plant HACCP program.
• Maintenance of plant Allergen Control Program.
• Customer complaint investigation and resolution.
• Third party audit review and response. Assist as needed during audits.
• Trouble-shooting plant quality issues.
• Plant quality and food safety related training.
• Conduct regular self-audits of plant
• Assist with regulatory compliance.
• Assists QA Manager with managing quality programs in the plant
• Other duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to facilitate implementation of corporate quality systems in a positive and proactive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others, as well as the ability to operate independently as required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be goal oriented and result driven
• Must have strong technical skills

Education, Experience and Certifications

• Experience in Dairy or Food Quality Assurance is a plus with preference given to those with a B.S. Degree in Food/Dairy Science/Microbiology or an associated discipline.
• Experience in food plant sanitation.
