Job summary

Subaru of Sterling is hiring an Automotive Safety and Emission Inspector to perform Virginia state safety and emissions inspections and document outcomes for customers and the service team.

The role offers a flexible evening/weekend schedule and a flat-rate hourly pay. Training and mentorship are provided as part of total rewards, with opportunities for growth within Lithia & Driveway's dealership network.

Qualifications

• Perform Virginia state safety and emissions inspections in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Accurately complete inspection documentation and electronic reporting as required by the state.
• Identify and document inspection failures and necessary repairs clearly and professionally.
• Communicate inspection results to Service Advisors and customers as needed.
• Ensure adherence to all state, dealership, and manufacturer inspection requirements.
• Maintain current inspector certifications and licenses.

Pay: $20 - $45 per flat rate hour (based on experience)

Schedule: We ask that you have open availability to support dealership operations and customer demand. You will need to be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Total Rewards

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on production/productivity. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
