Akicita Federal is hiring Registered Nurses to deliver direct patient care and clinical support for the Dayton VA Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will serve Veterans receiving care at one of the country's most respected VA facilities, working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team committed to Veteran health and wellness.

Responsibilities include assessment, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care coordination.

Qualifications

Current, active, and unrestricted RN license.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or higher).
Ability to pass a federal background investigation and VA suitability.
Must be able to work on-site at the Dayton VA Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Veterans across assigned clinical areas.
Administer medications and therapies per physician orders and protocols.
Monitor and document patient conditions and vital signs in the EHR.
Coordinate with physicians and care team to ensure quality care.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Respond to urgent situations and escalate care as needed.
Maintain compliance with VA policies and safety regulations.
