Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household tasks to help individuals remain in their homes.

1. Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
2. Drive safely, comply with traffic laws, and wear a seat belt during travel.
3. Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transferring in and out of bed or wheelchair.
4. Help with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

1. Six months of home care experience preferred.
2. Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

1. Current CPR certification.
2. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Skill Requirements

1. Ability to work flexible hours based on patient needs.
2. Ability to work independently in any home situation, regardless of patient background.
3. Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
