Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt during business travel.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care (shampoo, combing, brushing), oral care (teeth, dentures), nail care (filing only), skin care (pericare, lotion), and transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, bedpan, toilet, commode).
• Assist with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months of home care experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in diverse home situations, regardless of age, race, creed, gender, disability, or financial condition.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
