Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers.
• Assist with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Education Desired: Six months experience in home care preferred.

Must have access to public transportation or a dependable vehicle with a current driver’s license and insurance.

State Specific Requirements: CT: Must have completed Connecticut Personal Care Attendant Training and post-test as developed by the Connecticut Department of Social Services.

Skill Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours as required.
• Ability to work in diverse home situations regardless of age, race, creed, gender, disability, or financial condition.
