Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines.

You will review Veterans' medical histories, perform comprehensive physical assessments, and prepare detailed medical reports while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Flexible scheduling options are available, with no on-call responsibilities and no ongoing patient management.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
