Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our VA C&P General Medicine program in Maine. The clinician will review Veterans' medical histories, conduct comprehensive examinations, document findings, and complete DBQs following VA guidelines.

You will ensure accurate reports, maintain HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams for timely evaluations. Flexible scheduling options are available (FT/PT/PRN).

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.

Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
