Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a clinician to perform VA disability evaluations, focusing on general medicine exams and thorough documentation. The role requires reviewing veterans' medical history and supporting records prior to each evaluation and completing DBQs in line with VA guidelines.

The candidate will prepare objective medical reports, ensure HIPAA compliance, and work with clinical and administrative teams to finalize evaluations promptly.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

The provider will review Veterans' medical records, conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations, document objective findings, and complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in accordance with VA guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
