Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to perform VA Disability Benefits evaluations, reviewing Veterans' records, conducting General Medicine examinations, and documenting findings in VA DBQs in line with VA guidelines.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations; maintain HIPAA compliance and state/federal regulations; and provide clear, objective medical reports.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and documentation prior to evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
