Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support, assistance with personal hygiene, and household functions, enabling individuals to remain in their own homes.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notifies the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
• Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when required for business travel.
• May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), hair care (shampoo, combing, brushing), dental and mouth care (including dentures), nail care (filing only), skin care (pericare and lotion application), and transferring patients from bed to chair or wheelchair. Assists with bedpan, commode, and toilet transfers.
• Assists with household tasks directly related to clients' personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Experience in home care preferred.

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet patient needs.
• Ability to work effectively in any home situation, regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
• Able to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
