Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a Psychiatrist to perform VA Compensation & Pension evaluations, either in person or via telehealth. This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid per evaluation.

You will conduct objective, structured assessments, produce VA-required reports, and maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care. Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO license and excel at precise documentation, adhering to VA guidelines and timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured VA-based compensation & pension evaluations for Veterans.
• Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools.
• Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews and document findings clearly.
• Provide objective, unbiased assessments and submit reports within required timeframes.
• No treatment, no therapy; maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care.
