Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to perform VA Compensation & Pension evaluations as a non-treatment, non-therapeutic contractor. Evaluations may be in person or via telehealth, and compensation is per evaluation on a 1099 basis.

You will conduct objective assessments per VA guidelines, prepare clear reports, and maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care while supporting veterans with accurate disability determinations.

Qualifications

• APA-accredited PhD required in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
• Active Psychologist license.
• Strong report-writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured psychological evaluations for Veterans per VA guidelines.
• Utilize DBQs and standardized assessment tools.
• Gather history through focused interviews.
• Document findings in VA-required formats with clarity.
• Submit reports within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and clinical care.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
• Maintain professionalism with Veteran populations.
