Responsibilities

The Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) has worldwide responsibility for supplying Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS) Divisions with the IT resources necessary for them to operate under competitive conditions in terms of technological standards, service quality and cost. GBTO is composed of diverse and talented professionals who translate ideas into action every day by combining expertise in IT with a deep understanding of the investment banking business and regulations. GBTO’s three core responsibilities are:

• Deliver innovative IT Solutions that enable GBIS to achieve its business objectives.
• Maintain a highly resilient, flexible, cost‑effective and well‑controlled production service for business applications, systems and infrastructure.
• Facilitate entry into new markets, compliance with regulatory needs, growth in business volumes and operational efficiency improvements in the front‑to‑back processing environment.

GBTO achieves this while promoting a collaborative, innovative, and engaging environment for its IT professionals.

Cross‑Asset Secured Financing (XSF) Team Responsibilities

• Expose and consume RESTful APIs (C# and/or Java).
• Apply service‑oriented application architecture principles.
• Work with databases such as MSSQL or Postgres.
• Use standard tools for source version control (Git), unit testing and continuous integration.
• Collaborate with equity derivatives trading and operational teams to develop new tools and address production issues.
• Transform existing systems into core server applications with a durable and maintainable architecture.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Several years of experience as a software applications developer.
• Professional experience in object‑oriented programming in C# and/or Java.
• Proficiency in SQL (knowledge of NoSQL is an advantage).

Language Skills

• Fluency in English and French.

Technical, Operational & Soft Skills

• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Experience in web programming, preferably Angular/React/REST APIs.
• Experience with unit testing and agile development.
• Experience with version control systems and continuous delivery tools.
• Knowledge of financial products is a plus.
• Autonomy and rigor.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team player.

VIE Assignment Details

The VIE will be based in New York and start as soon as possible. You should allow up to three months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment, which will last 18 months. The contract is open to candidates under 28 years of age from member states of the European Economic Space, as per Business France’s eligibility criteria.
