City of New York's Department of Records and Information Services seeks a CERT IT ADMINISTRATOR (DB) to lead database administration and support public access to government records. The role spans design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and security across web applications in Docker/cloud environments.

The incumbent will gather requirements, participate in Agile development, and maintain existing apps and environments while addressing staff inquiries and system migrations.

Competenze

• Professional/Vendor Certification(s) in database administration is required.
• One of the following qualifications: bachelor's degree with 2 years database admin experience; or high school diploma with 6 years IT/database admin experience; or equivalent combinations including Masters substitution provisions.

Mansioni

• Gather requirements, document specifications, and participate in Agile development of web applications.
• Work with project management to develop timelines and estimates for development projects.
• Research and provide advice on strategic software engineering and information management issues.
• Build and maintain software for migration from legacy systems.
• Provide assistance to staff for customer issues.
• Develop and maintain applications using Docker containerization from a cloud provider.
