Altamira Technologies in the Dayton area is seeking a UI/UX Designer/Engineer for the NOVASTAR team. You will refine UX processes, design intuitive interfaces, and collaborate with development teams to deliver user-centered solutions for government and military customers.

Candidates should translate complex requirements into sketches, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, communicate design specs clearly, and stay current with industry UX practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of UX processes to gather requirements and translate into UI designs.
• Ability to build abstract models (mind maps, cognitive diagrams, etc.).
• Ability to create rough, notional UI designs communicated to designers/developers.
• Strong and effective communication skills across teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather, interpret, and validate understanding of user and customer requirements.
• Break down, frame, and analyze the problems to be solved.
• Collaborate with development teams to clarify and ensure understanding of problems and solutions.
• Design user interface and interactivity solutions.
• Communicate design specifications through sketches and wireframes.
• Document work, findings, artifacts, etc.
