Job summary

Second Front Systems seeks an unusually resourceful UX Designer to strengthen our product organization and customer-facing capabilities. You will design interfaces for classified defense operations and conduct user research with warfighters to validate usability under accreditation standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and product managers to translate complex mission requirements into intuitive product experiences while navigating security constraints and government certification

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or UI Designer for complex web apps or SaaS products.
• Proficiency with Claude Design, Claude Code, and Figma for prompt-to-prototype workflows and design systems.
• Ability to work with AI-assisted engineering teams in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Solid portfolio showing design process and translating complex technical workflows into user-friendly applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive prompt-to-prototype workflows to translate user needs and technical requirements into functional prototypes and interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build, test, and refine interactive prototypes and production features using AI tools.
• Own the end-to-end user experience for deployment, configuration, and accreditation workflows.
• Translate compliance and technical requirements into intuitive user journeys with product managers and domain experts.
• Conduct user research with stakeholders to uncover pain points and validate design directions.
• Maintain and scale the design system for visual quality, accessibility, and consistency.
• Champion user-centered design throughout the product lifecycle while balancing feasibility and speed.
