Job summary

M8l is seeking a hands-on Senior UX/UI Designer for a critical short-term project aimed at smoothing a major customer platform migration. You will identify friction points and improve engagement to ensure users complete transactions smoothly, working closely with Product and Engineering to implement high-impact changes.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in Product/UX design, a proven track record with conversion and checkout flows, and deep experience with Figma and modern prototyping

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UX/UI Design.
• Experience designing and improving digital products and complex existing user journeys.
• Proven experience on conversion, engagement, transactional flows, onboarding, or checkout experiences.
• Proficient with Figma and modern prototyping tools to create high-fidelity interfaces.
• Use user research, usability feedback, and product data to inform design decisions.
• Ability to work independently in an ambiguous environment without constant supervision.
• Strong collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• Availability for a part-time, short-term engagement lasting ~2–3 months.

About the Role

• Translate user, product, and business needs into practical and actionable UX/UI improvements.
• Design and iterate on user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces for the product.
• Utilize available product data, user feedback, and qualitative insights to inform all design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ensure designs are feasible and implemented effectively.
• Support the platform migration by improving continuity and usability across the entire customer experience.
• Help prioritize quick wins and high-impact improvements within a condensed project timeline.

Requirements

• Hold at least seven years of professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UX/UI Design.
• Demonstrate strong experience designing and improving digital products and complex existing user journeys.
• Show proven experience working on conversion, engagement, transactional flows, onboarding, or checkout experiences.
• Possess strong proficiency with Figma and other modern prototyping tools to create high-fidelity interfaces.
• Use user research, usability feedback, and product data effectively to inform all design decisions.
• Ability to work independently and move quickly in an ambiguous environment without constant supervision.
• Exhibit strong collaboration skills when working alongside Product and Engineering teams.
• Maintain availability for a part-time, short-term engagement lasting approximately two to three months.
