Union Home Mortgage’s L.E.A.D Internship Program offers a hands-on UI/UX design experience within a product team. You will learn how to transform ideas into intuitive digital experiences, with guidance from Sr. Leadership and peers.

The UI/UX Designer Intern works to simplify complex processes, prototype rapidly with AI-assisted tools, and collaborate with Product Owners and AI Software Engineers to deliver practical designs. This is a paid internship based at headquarters in Strongsville, OH.

Qualifications

Pursuing a 4-year college degree in UX-related field.
Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
Experience with AI-assisted design is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Translate business processes and user needs into intuitive user flows and digital experiences.
Create user flows, interaction models, screen designs, and interactive prototypes.
Use AI-assisted prototyping tools to move ideas to interactive experiences.
Collaborate with Product Owners and AI Software Engineers to translate designs into production.
Observe users to inform design decisions and improve usability.
Participate in process discovery and early product development.
