Job summary

Pearson is seeking a UX Team Manager in a hybrid, Hoboken-based posture. This role leads a team shaping how the platform connects, secures, and manages access across multi-product ecosystems, coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to align roadmaps and ensure design constraints are addressed early.

You’ll guide designers through complex, system-level work spanning SSO, LTI, roster syncing, admin consoles, and role-based access.

Qualifications

7-10+ years of professional UX design experience, with 3+ years leading designers.
Direct experience with identity/access management, admin/settings consoles, B2B integration, or platform configuration tools is a plus.
Service design experience mapping multi-actor journeys across systems is advantageous.
Experience with AI-assisted design tools and AI-enabled workflows is desirable.
Strong end-to-end UX design across complex, multi-surface products including legacy systems.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of UX designers through coaching and career guidance.
Define design strategy and quality standards for integrations, access management, and design system work.
Own UX delivery across the platform and access-management product area, ensuring quality and consistency.
Prioritize and sequence work across multiple teams with conflicting priorities.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Architecture to align roadmaps and success metrics.
Run design planning, crit, and review rituals to maintain momentum across a complex domain.
Unblock teams by resolving ambiguity and balancing technical trade-offs.
