Job summary

User Research International, a US-based UX research consultancy in Kirkland, Washington, is seeking an experienced UX Researcher (5+ years) to lead benchmarking and usability studies for AI/ML, cloud, and developer-facing tools. You’ll design and run structured evaluations that measure usability, efficiency, and developer experience across complex technical workflows.

Responsibilities include planning end-to-end studies, evaluating AI/ML tools and cloud platforms, collaborating with engineers

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of UX research experience with independent benchmark or usability study ownership.
  • Strong grounding in HCI, study design, and measurement frameworks.
  • Experience researching developer tools, ML workflows, APIs, CLIs, or cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable in technical environments.

Job description

Requirements

Preferred
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts, data workflows, or software engineering.
