Job summary

Cox is seeking a User Researcher II in Atlanta to independently plan and execute mixed-methods studies across a product area. You will conduct interviews, usability tests, surveys, and journey mapping, and manage research logistics end-to-end.

You will analyze qualitative and quantitative data, synthesize insights, and present actionable recommendations to designers and PMs. Some travel may be required; you will use AI tools to accelerate analysis and ensure high-quality reuse of insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years' related experience (or master's with up to 2 years)
  • Experience with interviews, usability testing, surveys, and task analysis
  • Strong analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience with remote research tools and survey platforms (UserTesting, Qualtrics, Figma, SharePoint)
  • Ability to independently manage research projects and logistics
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration & communication
  • Experience distilling complex findings into clear narratives
  • Experience developing personas, journey maps, and workflows
  • Familiarity with analytics tools or interpreting behavioral data
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools for synthesis and insight acceleration
  • 2-4 years of applied UX research experience

Responsibilities

  • Define research plans with goals, hypotheses, method rationale, sampling strategy, recruitment approach, and timelines.
  • Conduct interviews, usability tests, concept and desirability evaluations, remote unmoderated tests, card sorts, tree tests, and structured surveys.
  • Design and deploy surveys, analyze quantitative data, and interpret results.
  • Map user tasks and workflows to identify friction, motivations, and opportunities.
  • Develop personas and journey maps based on collected research.
  • Recruit participants with Research Ops, ensuring diversity.
  • Apply AI tools to cluster qualitative data and accelerate analysis.
  • Synthesize insights into actionable recommendations for product and design.
  • Create research readouts for cross-functional partners and collaborate with designers and PMs.
  • Contribute to repository hygiene through tagging and past insights maintenance.
  • Track research progress, risks, and dependencies in standard workflows.
  • Support stakeholder alignment with evidence-based arguments.
  • Conduct post-study evaluations to improve future research.
