Job summary

Cypress HCM is seeking a senior UX Researcher to lead end-to-end mixed-methods research across our SaaS product lines, from exploration to usability and competitive evaluation. You will design studies, select appropriate methods, and partner with product, design, and data science teams to inform decisions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on UX research, strong qualitative and quantitative skills, and excellent communication. Experience with enterprise/API/SaaS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end mixed-methods research across the product development lifecycle, from foundational exploration and concept testing to usability and competitive evaluation.
• Lead strategic and tactical studies, selecting the right qualitative and quantitative methods for the question, timeline, and decision at hand.
• Own evaluative research that measures product performance, identifies usability issues, benchmarks experiences, and helps teams prioritize improvements.
• Use quantitative analysis to strengthen findings, including surveys, usability scores, task success rates, frequency and severity analysis, and competitive scorecards.
• Turn research into clear recommendations and communicate them effectively to senior product, design, and data science stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

• 7+ years of hands‑on UX research experience, ideally more, with foundational research and usability research as a core strength.
• Strong mixed‑methods expertise, including interviews, usability testing, light‑weight surveys and analysis.
• Quantitative research fundamentals, with the ability to independently analyze common evaluative metrics and survey data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity and clearly connect evidence to product decisions.
• Comfort with ambiguity and speed, with a pragmatic approach to navigating unclear problems and unnecessary process.

Compensation: $100 - $175 per hour
