Job summary

Google LLC is offering a User Experience Research Intern position for MS students in Summer 2027. The role requires in-US residency for the duration and is intended for penultimate-year master's students in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, CS, Information Science, or related fields.

Preferred candidates will have internship or project experience in research design with various methods, knowledge of statistics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in a related field (Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, Cognitive Science, CS, Information Science, or related).
• Internship requires penultimate year status and full-time availability.
• Experience with research design utilizing various methods (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys).
• Knowledge of statistics and experimental design; excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Communicate research findings effectively and advocate acrossProject teams.
• Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs, and online experiments (A/B testing).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product management to inform data-driven decisions.
