Job summary

Google User Experience (UX) is seeking a PhD candidate to join as a UX Engineer intern. You will contribute to front-end development, bridging UX practices with production, and help launch innovative features to a global audience.

Expected to work with JavaScript/HTML/CSS, prototype high-fidelity interfaces, and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment within Google’s UX teams.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or related field.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers, PMs and back-end engineers to implement front-end solutions.
• Launch and iterate to improve product UX and performance.
• Manage time effectively, working independently and in teams.
• Design and prototype high-fidelity interfaces including multimodal AI concepts.
