Job summary

Google UX Engineer interns work at the intersection of design and production code, collaborating with designers, researchers, and engineers to create responsive front-end experiences. This role focuses on translating UX concepts into high-quality interfaces and interactive prototypes for global users.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a PhD in CS, HCI, or related fields, with strong UI coding skills across JavaScript/HTML/CSS and modern frontend frameworks.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or related technical field.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with UX designers, project managers and back-end engineers to implement front-end solutions for web development issues.
• Launch, iterate and improve. Provide front-end coding expertise to enhance products for users.
• Manage your time effectively, work independently and in teams.
• Design and implement high-fidelity prototypes exploring novel interface paradigms (multimodal AI, adaptive UIs).
