Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a senior UX Engineer to collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and developers in New York to deliver user-centered digital solutions for state initiatives. You will lead UX efforts across web, iOS, and Android, conducting research and usability tests while translating designs into functional experiences.

The role emphasizes end-to-end UX artifacts, collaboration with technical teams, and ongoing usability improvements for enterprise-scale applications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of UX experience and leadership.
• Full-lifecycle UI/UX engineering: 7+ years delivering UX artifacts (wireframes, mockups, journey maps, prototypes, storyboards, user surveys).
• Integrated Eligibility System (IES): 1–2 years on such programs in Health and Human Services settings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand goals and solve complex problems.
• Design, develop, and implement client-facing and internal applications.
• Create solutions aligning enterprise architecture with New York State requirements.
• Address defects and participate in post-implementation incident resolution.
• Plan and conduct user research (surveys, interviews, focus groups).
• Present findings to stakeholders and drive recommendations.
• Facilitate design-thinking workshops, journey mapping, and user-needs modeling.
• Develop UX deliverables (models, scenarios, sketches, user stories, flows, prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps).
• Conduct usability testing, analyze feedback, and continuously improve UX.
