Job summary

GILLIG is seeking a UX Engineer to own the look, feel, and usability of every application the AIO team delivers. You will partner with GILLIG's Creative Director to translate branding into a living design system, then build that system as reusable, LLM-ready templates.

You will serve as the team's single accountable focal point for UX across a growing portfolio of internally developed applications, ensuring branding complies with guidelines and is intuitive for users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio.
• 2+ years in UX engineering or front-end development with design sensibility.
• Proficiency with Figma for wireframes, prototyping, and design-system management.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system or UI template set.
• Portfolio showing shipped interfaces and the reasoning behind them.
• Strong communication and ability to hold a quality bar with senior stakeholders.
• Experience with LLM-based development tools preferred.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility and responsive design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate branding into UI standards, components, and patterns.
• Create wireframes and clickable prototypes at project inception.
• Build and maintain a reusable UI template and component library.
• Serve as the focal point for UX across the portfolio.
• Ensure branding, intuitive UX, and stakeholder expectations.
• Review frontend implementation and improve the design system.
• Establish lightweight UX standards for accessibility and responsiveness.
• Share knowledge on using the design system with AI tools.
• Define and standardize the front-end technology stack.
