UX Engineer

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior UX designer in New York to own end-to-end UX design and rapid prototyping for new product initiatives. You will build near-production quality prototypes using React and TypeScript, collaborating with Engineering to validate feasibility and reduce handoff friction.

You will help evolve reusable UI patterns and design systems while advocating for usability and accessibility across the platform, partnering with Product Managers to shape experiences before development

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and building modern SaaS applications.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both UX design and front-end implementation
• Expertise with Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Experience building interfaces using React, TypeScript, or similar front-end frameworks
• Strong understanding of interaction design, usability, and accessibility
• Ability to rapidly move from concept to prototype
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills in a fast-moving startup environment
• Nice to have: enterprise software design experience, AI or cybersecurity product experience, familiarity with design systems and component libraries, user research/usability testing experience, or motion/interaction animation experience
