Job summary
Canonical is hiring a UX Designer for Infrastructure to work with engineering teams on open‑source tools used to build clouds and manage compute globally. You’ll join a design team that turns complex systems into intuitive products for enterprise IT.
The role reports to the Infrastructure design manager and is based remotely in the EMEA region, with opportunities to travel for company events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent in UX, Design or STEM.
- Interest in building with real hardware and complex systems.
- Strong knowledge of UX, technology and design.
- Willingness to travel internationally twice a year.
Responsibilities
- Build tools to enable cloud experiences (MAAS, LXD, MicroCloud, Canonical k8s).
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape data center futures.
- Support complex products with UX heuristics and methodologies.
- Evolve and evangelise design systems for consistency and efficiency.
- Understand interconnected constraints and broader impact of work.
- Support working groups to advance Canonical design efforts.
