Job summary

Canonical is hiring a UX Designer for Developer Experience to collaborate with engineering teams and improve how software is built and distributed globally.

The role sits in the design team reporting to the Developer Experience design manager and is based remotely in the EMEA region. You will design and build tools for open source, partner with product managers and engineers, and evolve design systems to drive consistency.

Qualifications

Strong interest in user experience, technology and design.
Academic track record in high school and university.
Willingness to travel internationally twice a year.

Responsibilities

Design and build tools to help everyone build, package, and maintain software with a focus on Open Source.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to shape the future of developer experience.
Support complex products with design processes and UX heuristics.
Evolve and evangelise design systems for consistency and efficiency.
Attend cross-functional meetings and connect design leadership to Canonical's strategic vision.
