Job summary

Altamira Technologies Corp. seeks a UI/UX Designer/Engineer to advance user-centered interfaces for military and government software tools.

You will expand and refine UX processes for Altamira-developed applications, focusing on intuitive workflows and effective interaction models. The role requires experience in gathering user requirements, sketching interfaces, and collaborating with developers to implement UX designs within Windows and Linux development environments.

Qualifications

Experience applying UX processes to gather requirements and translate them into UI designs.
Ability to create rough/notional UI sketches and wireframes.
Strong communication and collaboration with developers and designers.

Responsibilities

Gather, interpret, and validate understanding of user and customer requirements.
Break down, frame, and analyze the problems to be solved.
Work in collaboration with cross-functional developers to clarify and ensure team understanding of each problem and solution.
Design user interfaces and interactivity solutions.
Effectively communicate design specifications to graphic designers and developers through sketches, low fidelity/notional wireframes, etc.
Document work, findings, artifacts, etc.
Work closely with development leads to synchronize and integrate UX and design cycles into their feature development iterations.
Monitor and communicate new industry UX and design practices.
