Job summary

BST Gallagher Flynn LLP is seeking a motivated co-op student for an audit-focused internship in Burlington, VT. You will assist on audits and assurance engagements across industries, working with senior team members to develop technical and professional skills.

The role targets UVM GSB students, offering hands-on experience while you prepare working papers, perform reconciliations, and contribute to client meetings in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred).
• Intention to pursue CPA designation is a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (ASPE/IFRS and audit/tax concepts).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in a variety of industries.
• Prepare working papers and document audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards.
• Perform account reconciliations and analytical procedures.
• Conduct research on accounting and tax issues and assist in drafting client correspondence.
• Participate in client meetings and site visits, as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

You’ll work closely with senior team members to support client engagements and develop key technical and professional skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is specifically available for UVM GSB students.
