Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and run slitter and packing lines, following safety rules and work instructions. You will maintain production records, troubleshoot, and participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce costs and improve quality.

Responsibilities include operating the slitter, ensuring proper materials, reading gauges, and recording outputs. Must read and follow procedures while maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed instructions accurately and work well in a team.
• Excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math, computer skills, and data entry.
• Ability to read measurements, gauges and meters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitter according to procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and preventive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and initiate maintenance/work orders.
• Instruct trainees in slitter operation and record keeping.
• Read measurements and record output on documents or computer.
• Perform yardage checks and set yardage counter.
• Read tags to ensure correct materials are used.
• Ensure correct materials are retrieved for quality.
• Maintain production records and document data entry in SAP.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects (S4) and team meetings.
