Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking experienced technicians to join the PCS (Pump, Scrubber, Chiller) Department. An ideal candidate is hands‑on, has a technical mindset, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, improving all equipment, processes, and systems used in UV wafer manufacturing.

The technician will partner with Engineers, Production, and Quality to execute preventative maintenance (PM), change‑point management (CPM), failure analysis, and process rework while remaining

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing.
• Technical knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment.
• Competent and experienced in oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in performing Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition vacuum line issue troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine PM activity on pump exhaust systems and qualify equipment after maintenance.
• Troubleshoot seals and leaks using SOPs.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, unit part technicians and support group to meet quality standards and goals.
• Conduct exhaust PM, perform Pump Changes, and troubleshoot chillers.
• Collaborate with FAB Engineering to improve equipment metrics for the factory.
• Participate in mechanical assembly/disassembly and daily documentation to improve equipment performance.
