Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Ultrasound Tech, MFM to perform specialized diagnostic ultrasound tasks and assist in identifying anatomical abnormalities. The role supports OB/GYN imaging and collaborates with MFM specialists in a clinical setting.

The ideal candidate will have an approved ultrasound credential, 1+ year OB/GYN experience, strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, safety policies, and a willingness to cover weekend rotations as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Ultrasound School.
• 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and operation of controls.
• Understanding of equipment and computer systems and service procedures.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to cover weekends on a rotation (roughly once every six weeks).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge to aid in invasive fetal procedures with MFM specialist.

Responsibilities

• The Ultrasound Tech, MFM is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.

• Understanding of equipment and computer systems as well as the procedures for equipment service.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of safety, infection, and disaster policy and procedures, including implementation of patient care in cases of an emergency situation.
• Ability to cover weekends on a rotation basis (roughly once every six weeks).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge to aid in invasive fetal procedures with MFM specialist.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 1 years of clinical experience in MFM ultrasound.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification.
