Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Ultrasound Tech, MFM to perform specialized diagnostic ultrasound in OB/GYN with focus on maternal-fetal medicine. You will contribute to detecting anatomical abnormalities and supporting clinicians with high-frequency imaging.

The role requires graduate ultrasound training, at least one year of OB/GYN ultrasound experience, and the ability to work weekends on a rotating basis. Collaborative team approach and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved Ultrasound School.
• 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
• Minimum1 year of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, their function and operation of each control.
• Understanding of equipment and computer systems as well as the procedures for equipment service.
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of safety, infection, and disaster policy and procedures, including implementation of patient care in cases of an emergency situation.
• Ability to cover weekends on a rotation basis (roughly once every six weeks).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge to aid in invasive fetal procedures with MFM specialist.

Responsibilities

• The Ultrasound Tech, MFM is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.
