Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist responsible for performing specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound. Candidates should have expertise in perinatal scanning and preferred certifications in Nuchal Translucency and Fetal echocardiology.

The ideal candidate will possess a High School diploma and be a graduate of an approved Ultrasound School, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in computer systems.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have experience in perinatal scanning.
• Certification in Nuchal Translucency is preferred.
• Certification in Fetal echocardiology a plus.

Responsibilities

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.

Candidates must have experience in perinatal scanning. Certification in Nuchal Translucency is preferred. Certification in Fetal echo cardiology a plus.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
• Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, their function, and operation of each control.
• Understanding of equipment and computer systems as well as the procedures for equipment service.
• Knowledge of safety, infection, and disaster policy and procedures, including implementation of patient care in cases of an emergency situation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience at a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• ARDMS Certification or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification.
• Nuchal Translucency Certification within 90 days of entering position.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Fetal Echocardiography Certification.
