Job summary

Ferry County Health is seeking a Utilization Review Nurse (PRN) to review medical records and treatment plans, ensuring appropriate, cost-efficient care. This role includes coordinating discharges, reviewing authorizations, and serving as care coordinator. A flexible onsite/remote arrangement is available.

The ideal candidate is a Washington-licensed RN with current BLS; ACLS/TNCC/PALS preferred or within specified timelines. This is a safety-sensitive position with union status.

Qualifications

• WA State Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• PALS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the safe discharge of patients from hospitals to their next phase of care.
• Document patient care and stay up to date on care guidelines.
• Review inpatient and outpatient authorizations for medical necessity.
• Enter information into InterQual to assess medical necessity.
• Review and process clinical appeals related to treatment denials or requests for services.
