Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System in Memphis, TN seeks an UM Coordinator to assess psychiatric cases and determine appropriate level of care. You will review patient records, communicate with insurers, and coordinate utilization review to support reimbursement for hospital services.

The role requires a solid background in psychiatric care, knowledge of DSM-V, and strong analytical as well as written and verbal skills.

Qualifications

• Masters prepared healthcare professional or RN licensure is required.
• 3–5 years direct psychiatric patient care experience.
• Knowledge of psychiatric care, utilization review, and DSM‑V; strong analytical and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient records to determine illness severity and level of care.
• Serve as liaison for patients and hospital with insurance companies.
• Oversee utilization review activities to ensure reimbursement for services.
• Facilitate physician weekly staffing meetings and coordinate with outpatient offices for billing.
