Job summary

Transdev in Salinas, CA seeks a Utility Worker to keep fleet vehicles clean and perform basic servicing, with a focus on safety and customer service. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior.
  • Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles.
  • Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log all fluids.
  • Download drive cameras & probes fare boxes.
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities.
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Other duties as required.

Utility Worker - Paratransit Route

Transdev in Salinas, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker is

required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who

are dedicated to safety.

  • $21.00/hour (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
  • Starting pay $21.0/hour
Benefits include:
  • Vacation: 5 days per year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
  • Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
