Job summary

DRT Aerospace in Winsted, CT seeks a Utility Worker- Inspection to support aerospace CNC‑machined components through inspection and metrology processes. This is not an entry‑level role and manufacturing experience is required.

You will learn and work with ZEISS ATOS 3D Blue Light Scanning and Hexagon CMM systems in a climate-controlled facility, contributing to aerospace-grade part quality and process improvements. Shift options include 2nd and 3rd with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, machining, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
• Experience working with automated or computerized equipment.
• Experience handling, processing, or inspecting precision metal parts.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
• Strong reliability and attendance record.
• Ability to stand and perform hands-on work throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aerospace CNC-machined components.
• Support production flow and machine operators.
• Perform visual inspection for defects and nonconformance.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges.
• Prepare parts for inspection (cleaning, deburring, fixturing).
• Assist with ZEISS ATOS 3D Blue Light Scanning systems.
• Support CMM (Hexagon) inspection processes.
• Maintain 5S workplace organization and safety standards.

• Aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing background
