Job summary

DRT Aerospace, LLC in Winsted, CT is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will perform in-process and final inspections of machined components, operate CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar), and interpret blueprints in GD&T to ensure conformance to AS9100 standards.

Candidates should have 2+ years of quality inspection experience, be proficient with precision measuring tools, and work well both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality inspection, CMM operation, or precision machining inspection.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Experience using CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace machined components.
• Operate and/or program CMM equipment (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar).
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
• Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, height stands, etc.).
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with machining and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, customer specs).

Location: Winsted, CT

Near: Torrington, New Hartford, Winchester, Barkhamsted, Waterbury

Shift(s) Available

• 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 2nd Shift | Monday–Saturday | 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

What You'll Do
