Job summary

Stoneridge Creek Pleasanton is seeking a Utility Worker to support our kitchen operations with dishwashing, pot washing, and storage of food and supplies. This full-time role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and reliable kitchen performance in a senior living community.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience cleaning commercial kitchens, can follow English instructions, and can operate dishwashing equipment. Evening/weekend shifts are required; benefits and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience cleaning commercial kitchens.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to set up and operate dishwashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans kitchen thoroughly daily, including mopping floors at designated times.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area, and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties all trash containers in kitchen into dumpster daily.
• Keeps storerooms, freezers and refrigerators clean.
• Mops floors at designated times.
• Stores food and non-food supplies, restocking provisions after deliveries.
• Limited preparations of vegetables and provisions in time of need under direct supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Location: Stoneridge Creek
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM. Varied Days. Weekends and holidays required.

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour + bonuses + annual pay increases

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Utility Worker performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and nonfood supplies.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

CRITICAL FUNCTION

• This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee.
