Job summary

Stoneridge Creek Pleasanton is seeking a Utility Worker to support kitchen operations in a senior living community. The role involves dish and pot washing, cleaning, and basic food storage duties.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with shifts 11:30 AM–8:00 PM, weekends and holidays required. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour plus bonuses and annual increases, plus a full benefits package including PTO and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• At least one year experience cleaning commercial kitchens.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to set up and operate dish washing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans kitchen thoroughly daily, including mopping floors at designated times.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area, and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties all trash containers in kitchen into dumpster daily.
• Keeps storerooms, freezers and refrigerators clean.
• Mops floors at designated times.
• Stores food and non-food supplies, restocking provisions after deliveries.
• Limited preparations of vegetables and provisions in time of need under direct supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Utility Worker performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and nonfood supplies.

CRITICAL FUNCTION

• This position is essential to the safety of our residents and staff; and to the operation and function of the community. Employee may be recalled to report to work for an emergency, unusual occurrence, resident care need, visit from regulatory/governing agencies or any other event deemed necessary by the Executive Director, Administrator, and designee.
