The City of Amarillo is seeking a Utility Worker for its Drainage Utility to perform skilled and semi-skilled work in inspecting, cleaning, maintaining and constructing the storm water drainage system. This role is weather essential and may require outdoor work in varied conditions.
Under supervision, you will operate light and medium equipment, assist in maintenance tasks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while contributing to reliable drainage infrastructure for the community.

Under general supervision of the Drainage Utility Supervisor, this position performs skilled and semi-skilled work associated with the inspection, cleaning general maintenance, and construction of the City’s storm water drainage system. This position is considered weather essential personnel.
Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Some overtime may be required if weather conditions dictate after hours work.
